Sinead Bright, RMT
Sinead Bright graduated from the Algonquin College advanced diploma Massage Therapy Program in 2015. Sinead decided to become a RMT because she desired a career that would allow her to have an active, hands-on and creative expertise. To her, being a RMT is interesting because each patient is unique and every treatment is customized to the individual.
As a RMT, Sinead is most passionate about helping patients put into perspective how their environment and routine can play a role in their posture and physical discomfort. Given that the mechanics of the muscles, joints, and fascia all work together throughout the body, Sinead works with each patient to fully engage both the specific pain areas and the contributing areas that may be overlooked. She believes that a part of a patients’ healing process is to recognize why there are aches and pains in the body, and where they are originating from. By understanding their body positioning, Sinead helps each patient become more aware in the adjustments or pain management they can make throughout their daily lives.
Sinead’s massage therapy skill set includes therapeutic massage utilizing neuromuscular, relaxation or deep tissue techniques; incorporating stretching where muscles are high tensioned and muscle contraction where muscles feel overstretched to help relieve aches and pains. Sinead also uses other modalities such as hot and cold therapy, injury recovery, manual lymph drainage, Pre and Postnatal massage and scar rehabilitation.
When not at work, Sinead likes to travel to learn and experience the vast techniques of massage therapy. She also enjoys swimming and a good workout whether it be at home, the gym or outdoors.
