Could your body benefit from chiropractic care? if you’re suffering from back pain, headaches, general spinal discomfort or injury, CURAVITA can help. Our team of highly-trained chiropractors provide patients with an evidence-based diagnosis, personalized treatment and preventive care plans.
What is chiropractic care?
Chiropractic is one of the largest regulated, primary-contact health care professions in Canada. It is non-invasive, safe and gentle hands-on healthcare that focuses on the musculoskeletal system. Chiropractors use a manual approach to treatment, while providing a diagnosis and preventive care for disorders related to the spine, pelvis, nervous system and joints.
Chiropractors may use a combination of treatments centred on the specific needs of each patient. After taking a complete history and diagnosing the patient, a chiropractor will develop and carry out a care plan, recommend rehabilitative exercise, and other adjunct therapies, and may provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counselling.
The benefits of chiropractic care
Chiropractic care is a primary health care option for many conditions, such as back, shoulder, neck and lower back pain. It can also be effective at symptom relief for patients with chronic conditions, and may complement or support medical treatment by relieving the musculoskeletal aspects associated with other conditions.
Motor Vehicle Accident Treatment
If you are injured in a motor vehicle accident and require chiropractic care, we have the expertise to rehabilitate a wide range of motor vehicle accident injuries including common orthopaedic conditions such as whiplash, back strains, as well as accident-specific joint, muscle, ligament, tendon, spine and bone conditions. Our primary goal is to help you to recover quickly from your injuries and to assist you with the paperwork associated with car accidents. We will work with you to coordinate all of your benefits with your Insurance Company. We will also work collaboratively with your medical doctor, if you wish.
Chiropractic Care for Workplace Injuries and Claims (WSIB)
It’s not uncommon for Ontario workers to seek chiropractic care after suffering an injury while at work. Many patients are covered under the provincial Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) regulations. However to qualify for the coverage, the accident needs to be reported to your employer and a report filed as soon as possible. Of course, the employer will need to be registered with the WSIB.
At CURAVITA, we are a registered service provider for WSIB claims and will be able to provide you with information on how to access our many healthcare services. Our goal is to assist you and make the entire process as simple as can be.
