Meet Sabrina McMorran, Clinic Heath Assistant
I recently joined CURAVITA Health Group as a Clinic Health Assistant at our Glebe location. I love being a part of our patients’ journey to recovery. Whenever a patient comes into the office, I’m able to see the progress that they have made, and this genuinely makes me very happy. I want everyone to be able to enjoy their lives pain free and to their fullest capability. I may not be the one treating the patients, but being able to follow them on their journey and help out whenever I can, makes my day!
Outside of work, I love to dance and paint. Both of these activities allow for me to escape reality and enter into my own little paradise. I’m able to clear my brain of all the anxiety, stress, and thoughts and just get lost with the music or with the paint.
I also like to hike, bike, kayak, swim, and ski – basically anything that will get me outside and moving, I’m up for it! On those days where I do not really feel like leaving my house, I like to workout in my basement lifting weights or watching old 80’s aerobic videos.
Currently, my favourite band is The Glorious Sons, from Kingston, Ontario and my favourite song is “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac. My favourite podcast to listen to is Sickboy and Crime Beat.
With respect to movies, I love to re-watch Scooby-Doo movies. As a child, I would Scooby-Doo all the time with my siblings. I love to re-watch the old movies every now and again (maybe more often than I would like to admit) to reminisce about my childhood and the time I spent with my sister and brother.
Last summer, I had the opportunity to travel to Paris and Belgium. It was hands down, one of the best trips of my life. It was my first time going to Europe and it definitely won’t be my last. Hopefully once Covid clears up, I’ll be on a plane traveling to Greece or Rome!
When I cook, I like to keep it simple with some pasta. If I’m feeling fancy I’ll add some sautéed mushrooms! As for restaurants in Ottawa, Kettleman’s Bagels are hands down my favourite place to eat in Ottawa. They make fresh bagels daily and you can also find them in certain grocery stores around town!
One of my favourite things to do in Ottawa is either walk or bike by the Ottawa River. It’s always very peaceful, unless the geese are out and you get in their way, then you better run!
