Meet Molly Plunkett, RMT
I graduated from the Massage Therapy advanced diploma program at Algonquin College in 2015. I started working at CURAVITA Glebe location in the same year.
I like working in our collaborative health care group as it’s allowed me to interact with different professionals, and have a better understanding so I am able to refer and educate patients as needed. I also like working with the team we have here. Every day is positive, and I always have one or two laughs throughout the day.
I grew up doing various styles of dance,(Irish, Highland, and ballet.) which I still like to keep up with. I also practice yoga.
I moved to Ottawa back in 2012 from Sarnia, Ontario. I like exploring the cultural and culinary delights this city has to offer. A favourite restaurant of mine is the Whalesbone. Ottawa is such a beautiful city, and I’m happy to call it home.
I also love to travel. My parents are from the UK, so we’ve taken many family trips across the pond. A few years ago, I started venturing on my own and took my first solo trip to Ireland. Since then, I’ve taken a few Euro-tours and said: “Nah, this is my favourite” to each new country I visit.
My latest trip was to Australia. I went on a Working Holiday Visa, which allowed me to live and work in Australia for up to one year. I’d always wanted to live abroad, and I’d always wanted to travel to Australia — so it was perfect. I based myself in the beautiful city of Sydney, where I got a job with a campervan rental company. From there, I took little trips here and there. Some of my highlights from the trip were, seeing the Great Ocean Road, travelling to Tasmania, a surf camp in Gerroa, spending Christmas morning on the beach, visiting Frasier Island, snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef, and meeting a Quokka on Rottnest Island.
