Meet Mickey Lindsay, Clinic Health Assistant
Some of you might not know this, but I started working in a chiropractic office in 1991, where I was lucky to work with Cheryl Turner at Barrhaven Chiropractic. She was the Office Manager there, working for my brother-in-law, Dr. Tom Lindsay. I was lucky enough to get to work with her again in 2003 at the Glebe Chiropractic Clinic and Massage Therapy Centre, and have been with the organization ever since!
I have been fortunate to work as a Chiropractic Health Assistant at the front desk for all of these years. I love my job. Where else could you work – I get to work with amazing doctors, massage therapists, physiotherapists and our team of Clinic Health Assistants. The best part though is getting to know our patients. We often get to spend more time with them than the doctors do, and see how they improve with care.
When I am not at work, I am either hanging out with my grandchildren, which I have 4 ranging in age from 6 to 15, or having a coffee or seeing a movie with my sisters. I recently got to see Michael Buble in concert with my sister and sister-in-law. We had a fantastic evening. I love to read. Currently, I am reading Michael Connelly’s Brass Verdict. I also like authors Louise Penny, Anne Perry, and James Patterson. I am currently watching Body Guard on Netflix as well as getting caught up on Suits. Most days you can find me out in the vegetable garden picking beans, peas, lettuce and so much more!
