Meet Dr. Michele Corriveau, Chiropractor
I have been working as a chiropractor at our CURAVITA Byward location since 2011. Back when I started, I took on the task of building a social media presence for both clinics and have been managing these platforms ever since. I also manage and edit our weekly blog. What I like best about CURAVITA are the people. We have a great team and amazing patients. It’s been a real pleasure to see the clinic grow and evolve over the years.
I have many creative interests and hobbies. I crochet and I enjoy photography – especially playing around on Photoshop. I enjoy cooking (and eating), volunteering, reading, and outdoor running – particularly in the fall and winter. I try to participate in at least one race every year.
I just started a book club with friends almost a year ago, and we take turns suggesting books every month. It takes me out of my normal reading comfort zone and I love it. Only in the last few years was I able to start reading for fun again – sometimes school does that to your brain – and I gave myself the goal of reading 30 books this year. I’m also a big fan of the TV show The Office. It’s my go-to show that I’ll watch any time I need to unwind. I’ve been watching it fairly regularly since it first came out, and it still makes me laugh.
Because I like food, I naturally like trying new restaurants with my husband. There are 2100 restaurants in Ottawa, and I feel like we haven’t even scratched the surface. For a nice dinner, Fraser Cafe is my favourite. I’ve enjoyed all of the meals I’ve had there, and I always like trying the new offerings they have on the menu.
I also like playing board games with friends and going to the National Gallery where my husband and I have been members for a few years. I have recently left the Women’s Business Network after being on the Board of Directors for 3 years. It’s a great organization where I’ve met many amazing like-minded women, and made many friends.
I have been the volunteer chiropractor at The Ottawa Mission for 4 years now, seeing patients on a weekly basis in their new clinic. I’ve recently joined The Ottawa Mission Foundation’s Young Professionals Network. I look forward to making an even greater impact in the community and contribute to the success of the life-changing programs helping people in need at The Ottawa Mission with the help of other engaged professionals.
